Given his start (I didn’t know I was pregnant until 5-1/2 months into it, cigarettes, x-rays, antibiotics, dieting, skiing, etc.), and how perfect he was in spite of it all, he was named for Alexander the Great! It’s funny you would use that in your example. And, Cindy, it’s cute that your son thought you taught “artistic” children. I can’t wait until her pronunciations become clearer. ha, ha.
Denese Dear: I should have known! A great kid would be named after a great man. And, your daughter is already very perceptive at her tender age. Your are a lawyer, right? Sorry it’s so cold where you have your practice. One of the fellows on the golf course recently visited your part of the county. He reported back that it was so cold, the lawyers had to keep their hands in their own pockets! (Yer gonna havta git used to the “liar” jokes.) But, a big ole big “Congratulations.” Now the fun begins. It’s kinda tough to build a practice, but hang in there. I hope your court has a generous supply of court appointed cases, i.e. criminal, guardianships, guardian-ad-litem’s., etc. I used appointments a lot. If you go criminal though, you gotta be careful that too many appointed cases indentify you as a “public defender.” That is sort of a ‘kiss of death’ in getting good fee paying criminal cases.
